FEH Associates Inc. and Ellerbe Becket of Kansas City join forces for the addition and renovation of the Sioux City Municipal Auditorium into the Tyson/IBP Events Center. Funded through a matching Vision Iowa grant, the project includes the addition of a 10,000-seat events center that will attach to the remodeled and renovated municipal auditorium. FEH Associates is the lead architect for the project and is responsible for local management and auditorium renovation. Ellerbe Becket is primarily responsible for designing the new arena space. The events center is the focal point of a city riverfront development plan that also incorporates a Lewis & Clark museum, pedestrian plazas and an intermodal transportation center. Completion date for the arena is December 2003 with renovation of the auditorium to be completed in March 2004.
