This new high school was designed for the 21st Century, with emphasis on the latest in high-tech teaching methods, a 200 station digital telephone system, ATM fiber backbone connecting 13 IDF's and Cat 5 horizontal UTP to every administrative and educational space including six high density computer labs. Designed around a "Courtyard Concept", security was a high priority. As a must for the community, the design allowed for after hours use while still maintaining camus security. Eleven stairwells provide vertical visual elements and a dynamic quality to the courtyards. This project was designed with a chilled water mechanical plant and included an elevator, group restrooms, 76 classrooms and a "state-of-the-art" food service/cafeteria.
