Clear and concise communication is essential to the success of any construction project. Beginning with the design and documentation process and continuing through to the final occupation of the project by the owner or users, the architect plays a key role in effective communications between all parties involved. Our practice primarily involves the support and enhancement of effective communication, such that the intentions of the owner, the designers and the builders are optimized in the completed project. Effective communication during the life of a construction project ensures that the very soul of each participant is embodied in the final result. That is the essence of Architecture, as opposed to buildings.
Chris has a BA in Political Science from The Citadel, and a BFA in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. Chris is a licensed architect in NC, SC and VA, holds a current NCARB certificate, and is a Certified Construction Specifier. He is a professional member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), and Specification Consultants in Private Practice (SCIP).
