Description | Profile | Contact

Kibo Group Architecture has offices in Missoula, Victor, and Hamilton, Montana. We are committed to enhancing the built environment through creative, energetic and responsible design, utilizing traditional and historic materials in innovative applications. Located in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana (log home Mecca), our Victor and Hamilton offices are on the premises of log construction firms, where machine-milled and hand-hewn log structures are crafted. Our reputation for creating rustic and historic lodge structures has been established in such magazines as Log Home Living and Mountain Living.

In the last three years, Kibo Group Architecture has completed over 30 construction projects. In addition to new construction and remodels, we have assembled a feasibility study for a 2600 acre ranch to include restoration of existing structures. For a fishing retreat on the Big Hole River, consisting of five machine-milled log cabins and a hand-crafted log lodge, we designed new construction to appear timeless. We believe recycled and alternative materials are excellent choices for certain designs. We apply the concept of "contextual design" to our work, providing appropriate style within environment and value. A Kibo-designed conversion of an old service station into a video store and pizza parlor has rejuvenated a highly visible corner in the University district of Missoula while preserving the integrity of the neighborhood's "bygone era" appearance.

Our web site at highlights some of our work and provides the viewer an overview of the architectural process. Kibo excels at traditional architecture, custom homes, retreats and lodges, commercial development and remodeling...Big Things, Old Things, New Things.
